| This July, the 18th century came to life in historic Mohawk Valley. There were period craft demonstrations, music, games, house tours, food and more, as Sir William Johnson's guests got to step back into colonial times, at Old Fort Johnson.
The weekend was an opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of 1749.
War is brewing with the French, the Provincial Government Militia is in formation. But that weekend William Johnson opened his home to settlers, crafters, native americans, and guests, with a summer party on his front lawn. He decreed a day of merriment and celebration, open to all!
