Well, Sir William has once again opened his home to Colonial Days in the Mohawk Valley. Period Crafters, House Tours, Food, Fun and Soldiers at Old Fort Johnson.
See pictures of this great weekend here.
What a wonderful season this is turning out to be!
One of the highlights, I'd like to mention, is our SUNDAYS AT THE FORT series. We have been providing a forum for local 18th century craftsmen to demonstrate and talk on their particular areas of expertise. Coming up next month is Walt Fleming, 18th century tinsmith. Don't miss it!
A new feature this month is our Archaeology Schedule which lists the local archaeology and history related projects and events in the Mohawk Valley.
I would also like to mention that our webmaster, Jim Sparks, is now with a F & I War reenactment group - Schuylers Provincials, under command of John Osinski.
More on our Holiday Open House next time.
Talk to you soon......
